ZENQAROO makes baby gifts in black, white and a single cream dot. Every basket is one print from swaddle to socks, so opening it feels like walking into a small exhibition.
Why black and white
In the first weeks, soft pastels blur together while bold, high-contrast shapes stand out. We took that as a design brief rather than a promise: our prints are there to be looked at together, up close, by a baby and the grown-up holding them. We make no developmental or health claims.
Five prints, drawn like modern art
Dot Theory, Wave Hall, Check Room, Ring Study and Arch Garden. Each print is a simple geometric idea — dots, waves, squares, targets, arches — drawn in thick black lines on white, with exactly one cream element in every repeat. Most pieces come in a positive and a negative version, so a pair of swaddles is one white and one black.
One print per box
A gift basket keeps to one print. The swaddles, hat, mitts and socks inside all share it, and so do the lid and the tray layout. You can buy every piece on its own too, or build a box of three from different prints.
Nothing that comes loose
No bows, buttons, beads, pompoms, cords or ties. Knots on our hats are part of the fabric. Bibs close with snaps set into the fabric. We keep the words honest as well: muslins are for supervised, awake use, and we do not call anything organic, antibacterial or hypoallergenic.
Lid off, everything counted
We photograph every basket open and flat and number every piece, on the photo and in the list next to it. What you see is what the family unwraps, plus a blank cream card for your note.
